Here I am, in Riga (Latvia) airport. It's 5.21am and I arrived here more than half and hour ago. Why is it so that transportation arrives earlier than it should only when you don't really need it...or would rather prefer couple of hour delay? I guess that's where Murphy's laws pop in.

While I was still waiting for the bus in Pärnu, after I had had couple of beers in my brother's place, I realized once again (yeah, I tend to discover some things way too often, again) that I really shouldn't have taken the 2.20am bus. You see, there were couple of other options as well. Here they are:

1. 30 EURO business class bus in the morning, just when I needed it
2. The 2.20am bus I used, cost about 13 euros
3. Morning bus which would have arrived in Riga 10.30am but in the airport 11.30 (my flight is 11.40, so just a bit too late)...cost...something like 7 eur

So I decided to take the bus that wasn't the cheapest nor with the best timing. Go figure. The hillarious part is that before taking the bus, I knowingly bought myself 10 LVL (worth around 15 EUR) so I could buy coffee during the 6 hours I have to wait here. The fun part is the total cost, bus plus waiting, is pretty much the same as the business class bus in the morning would have cost. Or the usual bus in the morning plus a taxi from the center of Riga to the airport.

I really am not the brightest letter in the keyboard. I tend to overlook the indirect expenses. So by the end of this morning I will have paid the same as I would have with the other options plus I will have stayed in the airport for 6 hours.

Learn from my mistakes, maybe I will too, some day.

PS: I'm not whining, it's just fun to realise this type of nonsense.

PSS: Nah, I don't have free wireless here in the airport, so this post is going to be posted later today, probably. I found the airport's wifi but it asked for 2 euros for 24 hours. Not bad, is it. So I sent an SMS...came back without results. Called the paid line, no results. Tried to pay with my credit card, no results. I wonder if there were any results on the other side - will be fun to see once I check my mobile and credit card statements.
